Astral Attrition (Single, 2026)

At Hyttan in Jädraås, the remains of an industry built on fire and iron became the setting for “Astral Attrition.”

John Falk and Sanna Falk filmed the material on 6 October 2026. The video places the song’s cosmic dread within the old ironworks, bringing its imagery of contamination, decay, and dissolution into contact with a tangible remnant of the past.

The edit combines their footage with excerpts from “Lux Ferre,” a video by David Miller, known as MLLR. This additional material was reworked and integrated into Devourer’s footage to form the finished visual sequence.

The guitar solos were recorded by Vald, whose earlier contributions to Devourer include cover artwork and merchandise designs.

Editing was completed on 13 October, and the video was released on 14 October 2026.

Tracklist

Breed a grim glee
Feed a dim fear

Blood-drenched abominations lurk in the womb of decay
As nameless aberrations spread through the ether and fray
Nothing is spared from the cosmic disease
The universe festers on its dying knees

Astral Attrition
The Voidbound Grip
Breed a grim glee
Feed a dim fear

A monochromatic trip

Excruciating torment
Gravity pulls all the lifeless inward
The seeds of ruin lie dormant
And hollow realms perish unheard

Scorn without measure
Shattered dimensions violently torn
Inexorable pressure
Vestiges lie forlorn

A macabre dilation beyond the conceivable

Serrated silence
Time sanders the scattered debris
Astral defiance
Dissolved in eternity

Scorn without measure
Shattered dimensions violently torn
Inexorable pressure
Vestiges lie forlorn

Gravity tightens its merciless chain
Seconds are fractured, then forged into pain

Astral Attrition
Breed a grim glee
Feed a dim fear
